Caroline N. (Barber) Cranmer

WILKES-BARRE-Caroline N. (Barber) Cranmer, 77, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully at her residence Monday evening. Born on October 18, 1935 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Neidjaco) Barber. Caroline worked as a nurse’s aide for many years, retiring from River Street Manor. She was an enthusiastic bingo player and loved country music. Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert R. Cranmer in 1985 and sister, Joyce Barber. Left to honor her memory is daughter, Brenda Shotwell; step son, Rick Shotwell, grandchildren, Allen and wife, Kristyna, Joseph, Brian and Michael; great grandchildren, Jenna, Jordon, Diane, Dana, Bella, Joey Jr., Heaven and Lee; brothers, William Jr., Raymond, Gilbert, Frank, David, Theodore and Bruce Barber; sisters, Emma Sims, Major Patricia Davis, Alice Lekitsky, Loretta Gazey, Helen Marie Chepalonis and Lisa Barber and numerous nieces and nephews. The service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. from Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St. Wilkes-Barre. Major Patricia Davis from the Salvation Army will be officiating. Family and friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be private.
