Carol L. (Becker) Henze

Carol L. (Becker) Henze, 67, of York, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Robert E. “Bob” Henze, Jr. with whom she celebrated 47 years of marriage on May 6th.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Mother Sarah Ingalls-Howard of Amedisys Hospice officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Henze was born on February 7, 1958 in York; a daughter of the late Ronald W. and Gloria J. (Staley) Becker. She was a 1976 graduate of West York Area High School. Carol cherished being a homemaker as well as a waitress/server at Western Sizzlin Steakhouse, Hoss’s, Golden Corral and Olive Garden. She enjoyed playing cards and games and loved spending time at the beaches in Virginia, Outer Banks, and Myrtle Beach. Above all else, Carol was happiest being surrounded by her family and in particular her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Bob, Mrs. Henze is survived by a daughter, Renee D. Richardson and husband Brian of Manchester; a son, Robert E. Henze, III and wife Brittany of York;; seven grandchildren, Taeya Richardson-Cuevas and husband Moni, Sekayla Richardson, Mackenzie Staub, Alex Staub, Reese Staub, Mila Richardson, and Aubrey Henze; a brother, Larry S. and wife Deborah Becker of York; two sisters, Cindy J. and husband Rich Newcomer of York and Deborah B. and husband Wade Young of Glen Rock; and cherished nieces and nephews.
