Carl Johnston

YORK Pa. – Carl Johnston, 93, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2022 at Seaton Senior Living on Springwood. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara (Dixon) Johnston. All services will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. is assisting with arrangements. Born May 29, 1928 in West Plains, MO., he was the son of the late James and Florence (Douglas) Johnston. Carl worked as a laborer at GM for 21 years until he retired. He loved to travel as well as farming, bowling and square dancing. Mr. Johnston is survived by three sons, Dominique Johnston married to Dorene, Duane Johnston, married to Kimberly, Pierre Johnston. Carl is also survived by eight grandchildren, Natalie, Joshua, Jason, Adam, Jessica, Pierre Jr., step grandson, James Carpenter and step granddaughter, Madison Gohn. Carl is also survived by two brothers, Kenny and Robert Johnston and a sister, Betty Johnston Newberry along with four great grandchildren and many surviving nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Johnston.
