Carl J. Belcher, Sr.

YORK- Carl J. Belcher Sr., 81, of Lower Windsor Township passed away on April 20, 2026 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Carol E. (Silar) Belcher. The couple were blessed to celebrate their 63rd anniversary on July 7, 2025.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm on May 9, 2026 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1 North Main Street, East Prospect, PA. Visitation with the family will take place from 1-2 pm. Pastor James Lewis will be officiating. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory is honored to serve the family.

Mr. Belcher was born in Lancaster on July 13, 1944, the son of the late Jacob Belcher and Frances (Woodmansee) Dietz. Carl was a dedicated worker for more than 30 years at the Olin Corporation in Red Lion. He later took a position at Dentsply and retired from that organization.

Carl was a devoted member of Zion United Methodist Church in East Prospect. He was a member of Riverside Lodge No. 503 for 57 years. While at the lodge, he served as Worshipful Master in 2013 and was currently a Trustee having been elected to that office in 2023. He also was a member of the High 12 Club, the Red Lion Scottish Rite Club and East Prospect Fish and Game Club.

Carl enjoyed photography and traveling with his wife. Alaska, Iceland, and the Southwestern United States were their favorite destinations.

Mr. Belcher leaves a son, Carl J. Belcher, Jr., and his wife Michiele of East Prospect; a daughter, Tracey L. McKenzie and her husband Roy of Red Lion. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Lauryn Hancock and her husband John, Kirsten Owens and her husband Nathaniel, Cameron McKenzie and his fiancé Whitney, and Allison Sprenkle and her husband Ryan. He also had two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Grace.
