WINDSOR- Brian D. Barr, 68, of Lower Windsor Township passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Pamela (Putzulo) Barr. The couple celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on December 5, 2025.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Brian’s obituary at HeffnerCare.com His pastor, The Reverend Josh Wargo will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Heiland View Cemetery in Red Lion.
Brian was born in Baltimore, MD on September 17, 1957, the son of the late Harold and Patricia (Hartsock) Barr. He attended Ashbury Theological Seminary and achieved his Master of Divinity in 1986. He served for several years as a pastor in the Methodist Church. He also owned and managed numerous rental properties over the years.
Brian was a member of Chapel Church, where he was a member of the adult Sunday school group. He was a history buff and especially enjoyed trips to Williamsburg, VA. He enjoyed going out to eat at all of the area restaurants and was a great handyman. Brian also enjoyed animals, especially his faithful dog, Benny.
Along with his wife, Pamela, he leaves a brother, Harold Barr, Jr. of Texas, and two sisters, Bonnie Barr of Florida, and Nancy Diffendarfer of Myerstown.
