Brenda J. Flynn

YORK—Brenda J. (Richards) Flynn, 77, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at her residence in York City.

A Viewing will be held from 6PM – 8PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A Celebration of Life Tribute and Sharing of Memories will begin at 7PM.

Born August 19, 1947 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Eugene Richards Sr., and the late Helen (Comer) Richards.

She was employed as a machine operator for 20 years at Kimberly Clark in Fullerton, CA, until her retirement in 1995.

An avid gambler, she enjoyed trips to the casino, dancing to country music and gardening. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Shenandoah, VA.

Ms. Flynn is survived by one son, David L. Jones and his wife, Nicole of St. Paul, MN; two daughters, Rhonda L. Cagle of York and Debra L. Sheldon of Dallastown; eight grandchildren, Aleesia, David, Lillian, Joseph, Adam, Sophia, Lene and Ryan; four great grandchildren, Paisleigh, Cash, Nola and Kingston, one brother, one sister and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother.

In lieu of flowers, Ms. Flynn’s family asks that you encourage someone in your life to quit smoking.
