Bonnie Lynn Young

Bonnie Lynn Young, 68, of York, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026, at her residence. She was the wife of Carl E. Young. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on August 6th.

Born July 6, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Thomas R. Townsend and the late Richard W. and C. Yvonne (Dively) Keesey. Bonnie was a former member of the Yorktowne Cedarettes No. 30; Eastern Star Chapter #169; the York Chapter of the Harley Owners' Group; and the White Rose Clown Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Misty D. Young, and her husband, Derek Snyder, of York; two grandchildren, Shea Smith and Claudea Smith; three step-grandchildren, Derek Snyder Jr., Jaxon Snyder and Jameson Snyder; a brother, Russell Townsend, and his wife, Lisa, of New Knoxville, OH; a sister, Cindy L. McVay, of Pittsburgh; and seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Tracy A. Doyle.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is honored to serve the family.
