Beverly A. (Horn) Leiphart

YORK – Beverly A. (Horn) Leiphart, 71, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy. She was the wife of Samuel D. Leiphart to whom she was married for 48 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Grace Fellowship, 1405 Seven Valleys Rd., York with her former Pastor, The Rev. Larry A. Katz officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM Tuesday at the Church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born October 9, 1944 in Yoe, a daughter of the late Frederick and Tersie (Markey) Horn, she was a 1962 graduate of Dallastown Area High School. Mrs. Leiphart began working at GTE Phone Co. and eventually moved on to AAA. While at AAA she spearheaded the beginning of their travel program, Superior Travel Co. She then opened her own travel company, Fox Valley Travel which she owned and operated for the past 25 years. Beverly was active with Red Hat Society, York Co. Professional Business Women’s Assoc., and was longtime member of Grace Fellowship. She enjoyed traveling, entertaining, and was a genuine “people person.” In addition to her husband, Mrs. Leiphart is survived by a son, Daniel J. and wife Daneille Leiphart of Edmond, OK; three grandsons, Nathan, Seth, and Cooper; and a brother, Charles Horn of Green Valley Lake, CA.
