Betty A. Tome

Betty A. (Bravo) Tome, 83, of Red Lion, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 7, 2026, at Yorkview Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was the wife of Carl D. Tome, her faithful and devoted husband, who lovingly cared for her throughout her many years of illness. The couple would have celebrated 39 years of marriage on September 25, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Christ Church Yorkana, 5 Main Street, Yorkana, PA, with Chaplain Jamie Gruber of Bayada Hospice officiating. A light reception and time of fellowship will be held in the church social hall immediately following the service. Niche placement of Betty’s urn will be private. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is honored to serve the family.

Mrs. Tome was born on April 11, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Josephine (Di Benedetto) Bravo. She was a 1961 graduate of Valley Stream Central High School in Valley Stream, NY. Throughout her career, Betty worked at various locations but especially enjoyed her many years in retail sales at Fashion Bug in York. She eventually retired from McCrory Distribution Co. Utilizing her creative skills, she enjoyed crafting flower arrangements for her home and was an excellent cook, especially when it came to Italian dishes. Spending time with her grandsons was one of the greatest joys of her life. She also treasured her longtime friendships with Cheryl Thomas and Sharon Costanzo.

In addition to her husband, Carl, Mrs. Tome is survived by two sons from her first marriage to Frank LoBianco: Thomas J. and wife Michele LoBianco and Michael E. and wife Kelly LoBianco, both of York; three grandsons, Nicholas, Sam, and Micah LoBianco; a sister, Lorraine and husband Drew Warhurst of San Antonio, TX; and nephews Drew and Bryan Warhurst and Christopher Fullam. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Bravo, and a sister, Maria Fullam.
