Betty L. (Mummert) Brenner

YORK - Betty L. (Mummert) Brenner, 62, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at York Hospital. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, November 27, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A viewing will be held from 6-7:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private. Born October 7, 1947 in Newberry Twp, a daughter of the late Luther D. Mummert and the late Helen C. (Mansberger) Lantz, and stepdaughter to the late Stanley Lantz; she worked for Danskin, Inc., and also Giant Grocery Stores. Betty was active with the ladies auxiliary for West York VFW Post 8951. Mrs. Brenner is survived by a daughter, Michele L. Smith of York Haven; two grandsons, Anthony E. Smith and Timothy M. Gibbs; a sister, Rose M. and husband Clarence L. Robinson of Manchester; a niece, Tammy Cutler; two great nephews, Cody and Evan Cutler; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by a sister, Charmaine L. Wise.
