YORK – Betty Mae (Graham) Saylor, 97, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Senior Commons at Powder Mill.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, July 25, 2025, at Salem Community Cemetery, 460 Salem Church Rd., Windsor, PA 17366 with Rev. Tim Munson officiating. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born November 8, 1927, in Red Lion, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd G. and Reba V. (Love) Graham. For most of her working life she was a self-employed beautician. Betty was an active member at Salem United Methodist Church in Windsor where she played the organ/piano for over 50 years. Betty was an avid animal lover, especially cats, dogs, and horses, as well as watching her backyard visitors, squirrels, skunks, and groundhogs. Betty especially like watching her bird feeders maintained and filled by Darlene Graham. She was also very musical, having played guitar, organ, and the piano and even joined a western band in her early years. She also enjoyed playing piano in nursing homes for the residents.
Surviving is her sister, Lucreta Z. Clark of York; a nephew, Mark Clark and his wife Martha of Spry; a great-nephew Michael Clark of York; as well as several cousins. She is preceded in death by a great-nephew, Joshua Clark.
