Betty Ann (Strausser) Fisher

PHOENIXVILLE - Betty Ann (Struasser) Fisher, 61, of Royersford, formerly of Orwigsburg, died Wednesday night at the Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, after a lengthy illness. Born in Pottsville, on April 24, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Bertram Strausser and Betty Rhody Strausser, who survives. She was a 1965 graduate of Blue Mountain High School. Until 1998, she was employed by the Union Bank, Yorkville Branch, Pottsville, as a bank teller. She was married to Harry S. Fisher, who died April 27, 1982. She was a former member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Royersford. Betty Ann's life was spent devoting herself to her family. Surviving in addition to her mother are: two daughters, Michelle Fisher and Melissa and her husband, Andrew Lantz, all of Royersford; two sisters, Deborah and her husband Vincent Terraciano, of Pottsville and Sandra Pucci, of Pottsville; two brothers, David Strausser, of Pottsville and Daniel Strausser, of Orwigsburg; two grandsons, Tyler and Nathan Lantz; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 AM from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. 6th & W. Market St. Pottsville. The Rev. Bonnie Yeager will officiate. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 until time of service. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
