Bert B. Schmuck

YORK – Bert B. Schmuck, 75, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Paula E. (Sheffer) Schmuck to whom he was married for 56 years. Born May 6, 1945 in Windsor Twp., a son of the late George N. and Hilda M. (Knisley) Schmuck; he had worked for H.J. Williams Contracting, Preston Trucking and retired from York Container Corp. Mr. Schmuck was a member of Hawks Gunning Club, Teamsters Local 430 and the York Scooter Club. Bert was an avid gun collector and enjoyed tinkering around in his garage fixing things that weren’t broken. In addition to his wife, Mr. Schmuck is survived by a daughter, Sophia J. and husband Bob Eppley of York; two granddaughters, Samantha and Katlin Eppley; a brother, Charles E. Schmuck of York; and two sisters, Charlotte King of Dallastown and Esther Wilwert of Stewartstown. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Patterson.
