Bernadean A. Bunny" (Schwartz) Delong

YORK - Bernadean A. "Bunny" (Schwartz) DeLong, 88, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at her residence. She was the wife of the late R. Donald Ness. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. Robert Renjilian officiating. A visitation time will follow the tribute service. Born December 6, 1920 in York a daughter of the late John C. and Anna (Dinkle) Schwartz she was a 1938 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mrs. DeLong spent many years as an antique dealer and had also been a singer for various York area big band groups in the late 1930's. Mrs. DeLong is survived by a daughter, Amy C. Ness and husband Dennis Gassner of Hollywood, CA; two sons, Robert D Ness, Jr. and wife Agharese Ness of Harrisburg and Harry M. and wife Jane Ness of York; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, J. Christian Ness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, PO Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.
