Barry R. Rauhauser, Sr.

Barry R. Rauhauser, Sr., 80, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at UMPC Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Susan E. (Roth) Rauhauser to whom he was married to for 46 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 11:30 AM, Friday, November 3, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Jon Bausman officiating the service. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 10-11:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life Party will be held at a later date.

Born March 21, 1943 in York, he was a son of the late Eugene E. Rauhauser and Arlene F. (Bausman) Rauhauser.

Barry was an entrepreneur for most of his working life. He was incredibly talented at many business tactics and found much success in his life. He just loved to make a deal. Outside from his hard work, he enjoyed surfing the internet, riding motorcycles, watching Nascar, fishing, being on the water and really enjoyed a cold glass of bourbon. He loved spending time with friends, but especially loved time with his family, whether at the beach, holidays, or just Sunday dinners. Most importantly, he is remembered as “the family man” and will be greatly missed by those who adored him.

He supported those in need near and far, but he especially loved helping efforts that spread the word of Christ. He believed in second chances and helped anyone that made an effort to better themselves, regardless of status or circumstance. He was directly involved in creating a residence for those recovering from addiction and those transitioning from prison back to civilian life.

In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by so many loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Jody Rauhauser, as well as his parents Eugene and Arlene Rauhauser.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Living Word Community Church located at 2530 Cape Horn Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356.
