Barbara L. Bristow

Barbara L. (Heintz) Bristow, 83, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, Wednesday, August 05, 2026. She was the wife of Donald A. Bristow to whom she was married for 63 years.

Born May 23, 1943 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late L. Curtis and Eilene (Brown) Heintz.

A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, she found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She also enjoyed spending time on the golf course and was an active member of the Outdoor Country Club, where she proudly served as a past board member and participated in the club's 9 Holer’s golf league. She also enjoyed the companionship and friendly competition of her two bridge groups.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bristow is also survived by three children, Allison C. Malachosky, Jill M. DiNino (Paul) and Stephen M. Bristow (Jennifer); seven grandchildren, Evan (Noel), Emily, Alexander (Rachel), Brynn (Sean), Madison, Sean, and Megan (Ian); three great (plus one on the way), Grayson, Noel, and Joyeux; and her cousin, Susan Jordan (Ozzie). She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Heintz.

A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is honored to serve the family.
