Arlene M. (Schrum) Leight

YORK - Arlene M. (Schrum) Leight, 86, died Friday, May 23, 2008 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Roland E. Leight to whom she was married for 62 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. W. Michael Langford officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born May 18, 1922 in North Codorus Twp., a daughter of the late Jacob and Cora E. (Hilbert) Schrum, she had worked at the former Naval Ordinance and AMF in York in the late 1940's and 1950's. She was a member of Stewartstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Leight is survived by a daughter, Joyce A. and husband Jim Troxell of York; and a son, Rick S. Leight of York; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Clark Schrum of Wrightsville. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
