Anthony Greco, Sr.

DOVER - Anthony Greco, Sr., 92, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Mary (Giambruno) Greco. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor Danny Haas officiating. Viewings will be held from 2-4:00 PM and following the Tribute Service at the Funeral Chapel. Niche placement with full military honors will take place at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Born August 20, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Caliguero "Charles" and Francesca (Inzerillo) Greco, he retired from the United Nations in New York City where he was a security guard. Mr. Greco was a member of First Assembly of God and Heritage Senior Center in Dover. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, singing and listening to Opera music. Most importantly, Anthony will be remembered as a strong family man and loving father and grandfather. Mr. Greco is survived by a son, Anthony Greco, Jr. and wife Sally of York; two daughters, Larraine Greco of Dover and Nancy Greco of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; four grandchildren, Lisa Greco, Julia Greco, Paul Anthony Greco and Gabrielle Grandstaff; and nine great grandchildren.
