Brogue — Anna Mae (Yohe) Leiphart, 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Rest Haven Nursing Home, after a long courageous battle with dementia. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Leiphart. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 AM, Monday, December 3, 2012 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor Christopher Starr of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brogue officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8 PM, Sunday and from 9-10 AM, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born December 29, 1928 in Rossville, she was a daughter of the late Luther A. and Bertha R. (Nell) Yohe. Anna Mae worked at home for many years babysitting numerous nieces and nephews. She was later employed as a box maker with AutoKraft Box Company until her retirement in 1997. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends, her baking was always in high demand around the holidays. She enjoyed dancing with her husband and passed on her love of music to her family. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, her greatest joys were family get- togethers with several generations of her family. Everyone who knew her called her Mom or Grandma and she accepted everyone into her family equally whether they were born into or came by marriage. In her last year she resided at Rest Haven-York, where she loved interacting with the residents and staff and they loved her too. Her favorite times were when her “little ones” visited. Mrs. Leiphart is survived by nine children, Ricky Leiphart and wife, Mary, Barry Leiphart and wife, Betty, Susanne Shaulis and husband, John, Cindy Frey and husband, Bob, Randy Leiphart and wife, Sherry, Connie Loop, Steven Leiphart and wife, Karen, Larry Leiphart and wife, Cheri and Scott Leiphart and fiancée, Michelle Lawrence; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Yohe and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Leiphart; one granddaughter, Brittney Leiphart; four brothers, Charlie, Russell, Clarence and Claire “Jim” Yohe; four sisters, Velma Yohe, Ruth Olphin, Katherine “Peg” Eckert and Marie Warner.
