YORK— Anita L. (Brutto) Damiano, 83, of Manchester Township, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at her home. She was the wife of the late Anthony Damiano.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Tom Irwin and Dean Hess, Jr. will officiate the service. There will be a viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, and a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
Mrs. Damiano was born in the Bronx, NY, on November 23, 1942, the daughter of the late Ralph and Grace (Arcidiacono) Brutto. She was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary for the FDIC.
Mrs. Damiano was a member of North York Gospel Chapel. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. She and her husband enjoyed international travel, especially trips to Disney. Her world revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Damiano is survived by three children: Patricia A. Davis and her husband, Geoffrey, of Orlando, FL; Anthony M. Damiano and his wife, Melanie, of Biglerville; and Marie L. Damiano of Dover. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Rebekah Barnes-Israel, Sarah Brungs, Hannah Ensor, Miriam Turner, Geoffrey Davis, Jr., Daniel Davis, Rachel Geesey, Malachi Damiano, Victoria Miller, Alessandra Damiano, and Rose Damiano; and nine great-grandchildren: Benjamin Barnes-Israel, Levi Barnes-Israel, Cora Barnes-Israel, Bobby Brungs, Hank Brungs, Grace Ensor, Landon Geesey, Colette Geesey, and Georgia Turner. Also surviving are her brother, Joseph Brutto and his wife, Denise, of Michigan; and a former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Hulshizer-Damiano of York.
