RED LION - Andrew (Drew) Patrick Landis, 57, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at York Hospital. He was the loving and dedicated husband of Jessica Marie (Topper) Landis. The couple recently celebrated their 22nd anniversary on May 1.
Born on January 11, 1969 in York, he was the proud son of Ruth Anne (Shindler) Landis of Ocean City, MD and the late Samuel Myers Oster Landis. Andrew proudly served our country for 8 years as an Electronics Technician in the United States Coast Guard during the Gulf War. After working in the civilian sector for several years, Andrew continued his dedication to the United States Coast Guard as an Equipment Specialist in the SFLC/Small Boat Product Line in Curtis Bay, MD.
Andrew was an avid outdoorsman with a sincere love for fishing, especially fly fishing, traditional bow hunting and enjoyed any chance to experience God’s beauty of nature. He was a genuine, chivalrous and old-fashioned gentleman with a true love for his family and friends and a smile that shined. Andrew was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stoverstown and a member of Dallastown American Legion. In addition, he spent many years as a soccer Coach for York Youth Soccer League (referred to by many as “Coach Cowboy”) and a volunteer wrestling Coach for Central York and Red Lion School Districts. Andrew was a 1987 graduate of Eastern York School District.
Along with his loving wife, Jessica, Andrew is survived by three sons, Brandon Topper (Kodiak, AK), Chase Landis (Red Lion, PA) and Connor Landis (Red Lion, PA); and three grandchildren, Aubrey Topper, Lucas Topper and Maverick Topper. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kellyn Ruth Landis.
Andrew will be deeply missed by so many family, friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and loving in-laws. He will continue to touch the lives of others through the Gift Of Life. His journey has not ended, it has just begun in the arms of Our Father.
A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at OIewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with the Deacon Jennifer Murphy officiating and full military honors provided by the Dallastown Legion at the start of the service.
