Allen W. Sechrist

Allen W. “Ike” Sechrist, 86, of Red Lion, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Betty L. (Lloyd) Sechrist.

Born July 7, 1940, in Red Lion, he was a son of the late Wayne W. and Dorothy I. (Snyder) Sechrist. For most of his working life, he was a machine operator at Standard Register Co. Outside of work, he was a member of Springvale United Methodist Church in Red Lion. Ike was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed archery and deer hunting, along with catching just about any type of fish. He especially enjoyed ice fishing, making trips to Delaware Bay, and traveling to Pine Haven Campground, where he spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors and sharing his love of hunting and fishing with friends.

Surviving are his two sons, Glenn A. Sechrist and Brian E. Sechrist; his brother, Timothy W. Sechrist and his wife, Susan; and several close friends he considered family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty, and his parents, Wayne and Dorothy.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Red Lion is honored to serve the family.
