Albert J. Ostrowski, Sr.

OLD FORGE-Albert J. Ostrowski, Sr., 69, of Old Forge, passed away Tuesday at his home. Born in Avoca on July 21, 1938, he was a son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Amelia (Keivak) Ostrowski. He was a veteran of the Air Force. Mr. Ostrowski was a former member of SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca: American Legion, Plains; VFW Dupont and Pittston. His sister, Amelia Miller and brother, Joseph Ostrowski, Jr. preceded him in death. Surviving are his children, Albert J. Ostrowski, Jr.; Elaine Anderson; Mary Rutkowski and Henry Rush; several grandchildren; brother, Robert Ostrowski; sisters Shirley Darsky, Madelyn Rush; Joan Orechovsky; Evelyn Falchek; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Father Edward Scott will officiate.
