Albert E. Knokey

YORK- Albert E. Knokey, 85, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 6-7 p.m. Pastor Larry M. Dentler will be officiating at the service Mr. Knokey was born in York on October 4, 1924, a son of the late Henry and Julia Ann (Weaver) Knokey. He retired as a roofer in the York area. Mr. Knokey was an avid golfer and a life member of the 13th Ward Democratic Club. He served in the US Army in the European Theatre during WWII. Mr. Knokey leaves a son, David E.
