Woodrow "Woody" F. Hivner, Jr.

YORK—Woodrow “Woody” Hivner, Jr., 68, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Born January 30, 1955 in Yoe, York County, he was a son of the late Carmen & Woodrow Hivner, Sr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30PM, Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Dallastown American Legion Post 605, 57 W. Main Street, Dallastown. A visitation will be held from 2:00PM – 4:00PM. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Allison Duke of Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Woody was an avid fan of the New York Jets, Star Trek, and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt. He worked in maintenance for the Bon-Ton Corporation, retiring in 2018.

Woody is survived by one son, Matthew Hivner and his wife, Jessica of Wilmington, North Carolina; one daughter, Christi Morgan of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Justice, Erilyn, Jacob, and Brenna; two brothers, Steve and Christopher Hivner and one sister, Cathy Hivner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County SPCA located at 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York, PA 17406.
