William K. Buffington

NEW CUMBERLAND – William K. Buffington, 78, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Harrisburg Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Buffington. Funeral services and burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born March 20, 1935 in West Fairview, a son of the late William H. and Esther Ruth Buffington, he was a retired mechanic from West Shore School District. Mr. Buffington had been a member of New Cumberland VFW and enjoyed playing baseball for West Shore American Legion and in local twilight leagues. He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Buffington is survived by three sons, Kenneth G. and wife Janice L. Buffington of Lewisberry, Timothy M. Buffington of New Cumberland, and James R. and wife Megan H. Buffington of Camp Hill; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Louise Kulp of Duncannon; and a niece, Karen Hammaker of New Cumberland.
