EAST SMITHFIELD- Rev. Victor Lee Hodge, 62, of East Smithfield, PA, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at his home. He was the loving husband of Judy A. (Combs) Hodge. The couple married August 28, 1964 and had 44 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan Church, Berwick Turnpike, East Smithfield, PA. The funeral service to honor Victor's life will be held after the viewing at 2:00 PM on Friday at the church. Burial will follow the service in Union Cemetery, East Smithfield. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Victor was born on December 29, 1945 in Soledad, CA, son of the late Alvin and Vida (Askins) Hodge. He was a graduate of Texas Bible College and went on to pastor the Christian Home Fellowship in East Smithfield. Victor was also a carpenter by trade and belonged to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Union, both in California and Pennsylvania. He was also a volunteer fireman at the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Co. Victor is survived by his wife Judy, his children Alvin B.T. (wife, Tara) Hodge of Phoenix, AZ, and Victoria E. (husband, Chris) Kelly of St. Helens, OR, grandchildren Chelsea Kelly, Dylan Kelly, Tivie Anne Lael, and Kailey Aaliyah Hodge, sisters Jula Chaddock of Charlotte, NC, Janell Gamill of San Diego, CA, and Geneva Foster of Hartville, MO, along with numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, and his son Tivod Leal Hodge, who passed away on May 3, 2005, preceded Victor in death.
