Verna T. Dolly" (Willard) Collier

DOVER - Verna T. "Dolly" [Willard] Collier, 60, died Friday, September 28, 2007 at Village Vista Nursing Facility in Lancaster. She was the wife of Irving J. Collier. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens. Born September 27, 1947 in York a daughter of the late Lawrence M. and Verna L. [Gotwalt] Willard, she was a graduate of Thompson Business Institute. Mrs. Collier attended Community Church of God in York and had served as a volunteer at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was an avid music lover and enjoyed playing the piano. Mrs. Collier is also survived by a son, Matthew J. Collier of Hellam and his fianc裬 Jessica Keller; two daughters, Lisa M. and husband Jerry Saylor of Wrightsville and Sharon R. Collier of York; five grandchildren, Michael, Nathan, Jasmine, Jacob, and Gabriel; two brothers, David McKenzie of York and Lincoln McKenzie of Dover; a sister, Marilyn Schultz of Phoenix, AZ; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Bollinger; and a sister, Georgia Caplinger.
