Thelma R. (Brown) Earnst

York—Thelma R. (Brown) Earnst, 97, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Jack D. Earnst. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born August 19, 1920 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Minnie (Eckert) Brown. She was a small business owner of Thelma’s Ceramics, where she made and taught ceramics. A former den mother, she also enjoyed making ceramics and loved flowers. Mrs. Earnst is survived by a daughter, Victoria Mason and husband, Arthur of East Berlin; a son, Vernon L. Little and wife, Judy of East Berlin; six grandchildren, Barbara Nickle, Beverly Ebersole, Lisa Mason, Lori Crone, Rhonda Rowland and Troy Little; 17 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Jennifer Ebersole.
