Scott L. Smith

Dallastown--Scott Lee Smith, 47, passed away Sunday May 21, 2023 at Einstein Medical Center—Philadelphia.

A viewing will be held from 10:00AM-12:00PM, Sunday May 28, 2023 at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:00PM Sunday, at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Allison R. Duke. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Born June 7, 1975 in York, he was the son of Barry L. Smith and step-son of Susan Seiple.

He was employed with Toyota of York for 16 years as part of their sales team and eventually Sales Manager and most recently worked with Apple Honda as part of their sales team.

An avid sports fan and outdoor enthusiast, he seldom missed an opportunity to attend an Orioles game with his son, cheer on the Cowboys or go fish a favorite spot, often with his Dad. Scott played baseball his entire life, participating in various leagues throughout York County, but what he loved more than playing was coaching his son’s youth league, which he did for several years.

In addition to his father and step-mother, Scott is also survived by his son, Traeh Smith of Dallastown; life long partner, Crystal Pearson of Dallastown; his sister, Sheri L. Franklin and husband, Damon of York; two step-children, Taylor and Elijah Pearson; one step-grandchild, Liam Lentz; niece and nephew, Austin and Briella Franklin; his dog, Buck and aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
