Ruth Leypoldt

OWINGS MILLS, MD- Ruth (Fried) Leypoldt, 90, formerly of York, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at her residence. She was the wife of the late William C. Leypoldt. Mrs. Leypoldt was born in Philadelphia, on August 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Benjamine and Mary (Saul) Fried. She worked as a telephone operator in Woodbury, NJ and at Glasgow Sweater Factory in Lansdale, PA. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing. Mrs. Leypoldt leaves a son, William C. Leypoldt, Jr. of Stowe, PA and Nancy L. Zinn and her husband, Michael of York; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Angel LaBuda of New Hope; and nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Christine Mervine of York. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mary Leypoldt. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements. Services will be private.
