YORK TOWNSHIP- Richard F. Deisinger, Sr. 73 of York died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of Doris N. (Ness) Deisinger. The couple celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on March 24th.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. The family has requested casual dress for those attending. The Reverend Anthony Zumbo will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Deisinger was born in Dover on January 13, 1936, a son of the late Howard and Emma (Myers) Deisinger. He worked for the former Cole Steel and retired in 2001 from New Standard Corporation in Hellam.
Mr. Deisinger was a 1953 graduate of Dover High School. He was a former member Hawk's Gunning Club, the Moose Lodge, and Seven Mountains Blue Grass Association. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles Fan, a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed fishing with his granddaughter.
Mr. Deisinger leaves three sons, Jeffrey A. Deisinger and his wife Kimberly of Dover; Richard F. Deisinger, Jr. of Mt Wolf; and Larry E. Deisinger of York; a granddaughter, Tara Beth Deisinger; a brother Stanley Deisinger of SevenValleys; two sisters, Betty Rohrbaugh of York and June Livingston, of Cross Keys; and nieces and nephews. A brother, Roy Deisinger had preceded him in death.
