Richard E. Warner, 98, Felton, PA died on May 27, 2022 at York Hospital. Richard was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen E (Workinger) Warner who passed away December 24, 1980; they were married for 31 years. Richard was also preceded in death by his second wife, Arlene M. (Grove) (Sobczak) Warner who passed away February 2, 2021; they were married for 36 years. Visitation will be held June 6 – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Heffner Funeral Chapel 35 Gotham Place Red Lion, PA There will be a grave side service and burial at St James Lutheran Church 2335 Cramer Road Brogue, PA on June 7 – 11:00 am. Born in Chanceford Township on June 12, 1923, Richard was the son of the late Ray C. and Annie M. (Burke) Warner. Richard farmed all of his life with his brother Dean. During Richard’s life he attended New Harmony Presbyterian Church, St. James Lutheran Church and St Paul’s United Methodist Church. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, watching baseball games, farming and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to church picnics and family reunions. Richard is survived by his son, David Warner and wife, Annette of Felton; 4 grandchildren: David Warner, Jr., Christopher Bowles, Scott Bowles, and Mandy (Warner) Uhland; and 5 great grandchildren: Micah and Carolyn Warner, Avery Bowles, and Nancy and Warner Uhland. In addition to his first wife, Helen, and second wife, Arlene, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary (Warner) Bowles; his 3 brothers: William Warner, Dean Warner, and Robert Warner; and his 3 sisters: Margaret Daugherty, Reba Leiphart, and Beulah Daugherty.
