WRIGHTSVILLE - Raellen L. (Baker) Tyson, 59, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008 at her residence. She was the wife of James A. Tyson to whom she was married for 39 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Rev. Steven Schmuck officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Born May 24, 1949 in York a daughter of the late Roger Baker and the late Betty Jane (Sowers) Stock and stepdaughter of the late Robert Stock, she had worked at Denny's Restaurant on Rt. 30 and K-Mart on Haines Road. Mrs. Tyson had been the president of Ladies Auxiliary for Local 542 Operating Engineers and enjoyed gardening and reading. She also was an active supporter of the SPCA and other organizations that funded and helped wildlife organizations, particularly wolves. Raellen will be remembered as always willing to lend a helping hand to people whenever and wherever the need arose. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Tyson is survived by her three dogs, Nikki, Abbey, and Jake; a sister, Holly Ann Boyer of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to a favorite wildlife rescue organization or the SPCA.
