POTTSVILLE - Phyllis G. Miller,70, of Schuylkill Haven, died on Sunday evening at her home. Born in Pottsville on May 1, 1941, Phyllis was a daughter of the late Phillip and Verna Wenrich Umbenhen. On December 1, 1962, she married Thomas Miller. Until retiring, Phyllis worked as a folder in the garment industry. She was best known and loved by her grandchildren and her great granddaughters as Nanna Banana. Surviving Phyllis in addition to her husband Thomas of 48 years are: a two sons, William Miller, Schuylkill Haven and Joseph and his wife Dawn Miller, Schuylkill Haven; a daughter, Susan Miller, Schuylkill Haven; four grandchildren, Justin and his wife Christa Miller, Gap, PA, Mookie, Alicia and Damyan Miller, all of Schuylkill Haven; two great granddaughters, Payton Miller, Schuylkill Haven and Abigail Miller, Gap, PA; three brothers, Donald Umbenhen, Lexington, Kentucky, Richard Umbenhan, Pottsville and Louis Umbenhen, Ipswich, England; two sisters, Janet Fronczek, Reading and Florence and her husband John Shuey, Pottsville; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: three brothers, William, Harold and Robert Umbenhen. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville is handling the arrangements.
