DOVER TOWNSHIP- Phyllis E. (Simon) Myers, 76, of Dover, died, Friday, January 9, 2009 at her daughter's residence in Hanover. She was the wife of Charles E. Myers. The couple had celebrated their 54th Wedding anniversary on October 29, 2008. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:30p.m. on Tuesday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The Reverend Sayward L. Lippincott will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Myers was born in Philadelphia on June 5, 1932, a daughter of the late Charles and Violet (Walker) Simon. Mrs. Myers attended First Moravian Church in York and was a 1950 Graduate of William Penn Senior High. She enjoyed being involved with the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and was a Girl Scout Leader in Dover and Panama. Mrs. Myers leaves two sons, Thomas E. Myers and his wife, Deb of East Berlin and Michael E. Myers of York; three daughters, Kimberly E. Daryman of Dover, Susan E. Walter and her husband, Scott of Hanover, and Kathryn E. Markel and her husband, Terry, of Thomasville; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Simon of Red Lion; nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Flickinger and her husband Carl of York, and Catherine Keeney and her husband Donald of York; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Myers and his wife Joan of York New Salem and Russell Myers and his wife, Darlene of Dover.
