Pearl L. Pendleton

YORK—Pearl L. (Kauffman) Pendleton, 81, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 12, 2018 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. A Celebration of Life and Viewing Services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be held at St. Paul Wolf's Cemetery immediately following the service. Born October 28, 1937 in Bowers Beach, DE, she was one of four daughters of the late Emerson and Bertha (Sidenstricker) Kauffman. She was employed with Pleasant Acres Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center where she worked in their laundry department. Pearl was an avid bingo player who loved gambling at Atlantic City, and enjoyed yardsaling every weekend. But most importantly, Pearl enjoyed spending time with those she loved. Pearl is survived by two beloved children, Robert E. Pendleton and wife, Amy of Red Lion and Wanda J. Waltz and husband, Scott of York; three beloved grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Christopher Waltz and Austin Waltz; and three beloved great grandchildren, Destiny Smith, Lillian Smith and Blake Smith; one sister, Mary E. Schaeberle of York; several nieces and nephews and close family friend, Tom Reisinger. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Kauffman and Gladys Chaney and one brother, Robert Kauffman.
