YORK - Paul R. “Pap” Miller, 82, entered into rest on Thursday, March 18, 2021. He was the husband of Phyllis J. Miller (Harshbarger). The couple observed their 59th wedding anniversary on April 22, 2020. He was born in Lewistown on January 27, 1939, the son of the late Joseph S. and Helen (Havice) Miller. After completing his time in the US Army Reserves, Paul relocated to York and worked for the Hershey Baking Company, LG Potato Chips and most recently Precision Components Corp (PCC) where he retired in 1998 with 31 years of service. Paul was an avid sports fan. He faithfully supported the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football teams his entire life. He especially enjoyed cheering on his local high school teams and watching his grandson participate in sports. His greatest joy was being a grandfather. He was devoted to each of his grandsons and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them and participate in their many events. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by a son Daryl Miller of Manchester, daughter Eileen Ghesquiere (Dale) of York; two grandsons, Seth Wise of York and Maddox Price of York; two sisters Cheryl Zertuche (Daniel) of Lacey, WA; Sue Anderson of Chambersburg and many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service to be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road York. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. All current COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. Following the service, burial will take place at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
