Mildred H. Auman

POTTSVILLE- Mildred H. Auman, 97, resident of Luther Ridge, Pottsville, passed away Wednesday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 9, 1912, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret Ellis Harris. Mildred worked for many years at the former Ulmer's Meat Market, Pottsville. She later worked for Brok-Sel, Pottsville, until she retired. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Auman, who passed away in 1973; her son, Richard H. Auman, who passed away Friday, December 25; her three sisters, Adeline Hilliard, Dorothy Bonchak and Margaret McCall. She is survived by her two grandsons, David Auman, husband of Christine, of Richmond, VA and Ken Auman, husband of Andi, of Simsbury, CT; 5 great grandchildren, Brendan Auman, Luke Bassett-Auman, Sadie Bassett-Auman, Riley Auman and Grayson Auman. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Streets, Pottsville. Reverend Darcy Reiss will officiate. Friends may call on Monday Morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
