CARLISLE-Mary M. Voyack, 87, of Carlisle, formerly of Avoca, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Cumberland Crossing, Carlisle. Born on October 13, 1923 in Avoca, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Boylan) Hines. Mary was a graduate of St Mary\'s Parochial School in Avoca and Avoca High School. She is a member of St. Patrick Church, Carlisle. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Church, Avoca, but also attended SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca. She and her husband loved to fish and traveled extensively. She was a very giving and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a fantastic cook who loved to please her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Retired Lieutenant Colonel John E. Voyack, who passed away May 17, 2011; brothers Joseph and Leo Hines. Surviving are her son, John E. Voyack, Jr., and his wife Deborah, Carlisle; grandchildren John E. Voyack, III and his wife Chantelle; Heather Williams and her husband Randy; Dana Hubshman and her husband, Robert; great-grandchildren, Julia Voyack, John E. Voyack, IV; Colin Michael Williams and Robert Hubshman IV; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 1000 Main Street, Avoca, with the Reverend Phillip J. Sladicka officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca.
