YORK - Mary L. (Hensel) Null, 101, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Manor Care – North. She was the wife of the late George M. Stow and Ralph R. Null, Sr. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus with Rev. Tina H. Minnich officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born August 27, 1916 in Audubon, NJ; a daughter of the late Charles H. and Anna E. O’Brien Hensel, she was a graduate of Audubon High School. Mrs. Null studied music at The Collingswood Conservatory of Music in Collingswood, NJ. During her life she had operated a fruit and vegetable farm in Marlton, NJ, worked at Fortress Press in Philadelphia and was a bus driver for LIU #12. Mrs. Null served as organist at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Audubon for several years and was a substitute organist at local churches in the York area. Mrs. Null was a life member of Springfield Twp. Farmers and Sportsmen’s Assoc., a member of Order of Eastern Star Athene #201 Chapter in Pennsauken, NJ; and a former member of Haddonfield Tennis Club in Haddonfield, NJ, where she was once ranked #8 in the Middle Atlantic States. She also enjoyed bowling in several leagues in York. Mrs. Null is survived by two nephews, Charles and Donald Hensel.
