Marjorie C. Schweinsberg

HANOVER – Marjorie C. (Hancock) Schweinsberg, 64, passed away August 25, 2023 at her mother’s residence. She was the wife of Joseph Schweinsberg to whom she was married for 29 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 4:30-6:00 PM.

Born May 18, 1959 in Johnstown, she was a daughter of the late George P. Horner and Gertrude S. (Horton) Cutlip. She is preceded in death by her stepfather John Hancock.

Mrs. Schweinsberg retired from auto sales, where she worked for most of her career. In her free time, she was a member of Shiloh American Legion 791, West York VFW Post 8951 and Liberty Club. Marjorie loved to go to the beach, attend garden shows, go bowling, and most of all, loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schweinsberg is survived by her two daughters, Brooke N. Hancock and her companion Matt of Hallam and MSGT Krista M. Lawrence of Minnesota; two grandchildren, Jansen Strine and his wife Allison, and Dylan Strine; two sisters, Sandy J. Folkenroth and her husband Paul of Emigsville, Cynthia S. Marks and her husband Sam of Shillington. Marjorie is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Eugene Geiger III.
