Lloyd J. Mcquillen

MONTOURSVILLE - Lloyd J. McQuillen, 93, died on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Valley View Nursing Center. Lloyd was born on December 10, 1917 in Williamsport and was the son of the late Charles A. and Mary (Manley) McQuillen. He was a graduate of the Williamsport high school and was a Sergeant in the US Army Air Corp. during WWII. Lloyd was married to the former Joyce K. (Albertson) for 63 years and who survives. He was a former employee of Schnedig Furniture Company, Montoursville for 40 years before retiring. He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Montoursville and the Williamsport VFW #844. In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; L. Joseph Joe and Michele McQuillen, II of Montoursville, one daughter and son-in-law; Denise E. and Robert Koch of Montoursville, two grandchildren; Meghan and Katy McQuillen, both of Montoursville and two sisters and one brother-in-law; Mary and Donald Armstrong of Williamsport and Annabelle Dobson of South Williamsport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Carl and Charles McQuillen and two sisters; Florence Burrows and Gladys Neupauer. Services will private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, 369 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754. Arrangements are being handled by the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
