York—Linda S. (Vuono) Febres, 56, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Taylor Hospice in Ridley Park. A catholic funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with Deacon Neil A. Crispo of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dallastown officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Born May 22, 1953 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of Olga H. (Kozlowski) Vuono and the late Charles A. Vuono Jr. She was most recently employed with Wellspan as a Social Worker. A member of the embroidery's guild, she was also a very creative person with her hands and amazingly gifted in needle point, jewelry making and bead work. The most important part of her life was family and anyone who came into her house was treated as family. Mrs. Febres is survived by four sons, Pedro Febres of York, Miguel Febres and his wife, Ivette of Upper Darby, Mario Febres of Albuquerque, NM, and Guillermo Febres and his wife, Shallon of Wilmington, DE, two grandchildren, Xiomara Lozano and Yemale Febres, one brother, Charles Vuono III, one sister, Sharon Vuono and other family and friends.
