RED LION - Larry J. Lakatosh, 68, of Red Lion, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born August 19, 1942, in Northampton, the son of the late Joseph A. Lakatosh and Orpha Miller Lakatosh. He graduated from Northampton High School in 1960. He was a computer programmer for several businesses before becoming self-employed writing his own computer programs. He had been a member of various fraternal organizations over the years, including the Red Lion B.P.O.E. and the Dallastown American Legion. Larry was well-known in the local bowling community and as an avid fisherman; he enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada. He also enjoyed playing cards; his latest favorite being poker. A loving son, husband, father and grandfather who was fondly known as Pappy, he is survived by his mother, Orpha Lakatosh of Whitehall, PA, his wife, Cindy, with whom he celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on June 6; children: daughter Samantha Prince of Halifax, PA; and sons John, Christopher and Eric, all of Red Lion, PA. Six grandchildren: Theodore, Cassidy, Zachary, Jazmyn, Izabella and Alexis. He was the owner of several beautiful Golden Retrievers, including his favorite Jasper who passed away 4 years ago, and current pets Katie and Logan. There will be no viewing or funeral.
