LANCASTER-Kathryn E. (Eiseman) Stambaugh, 78 died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at St. Anne's Retirement Community in Columbia, Pa. She was the loving wife of the late Charles S. Stambaugh. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with her pastor, the Rev. David Danneberger and the Rev. Sandra Morris, Chaplin of Hospice of Lancaster, officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Greenmount Cemetery. Mrs. Stambaugh was born in Philadelphia, P.A. on April 30, 1931 a daughter of the late Douglas W. Eiseman and Kathryn L. (Allem) Myers. She was a graduate of Salisbury University in M.D. where she received her teaching degree and was involved in the Kappa Gamma Sorority. Mrs. Stambaugh worked for the York City School District as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher for 32 years until her retirement. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Devers Lions Club Ladies Auxiliary and would spend her free time volunteering for the American Red Cross. Mrs. Stambaugh is survived by a daughter Charlotte A. Siemasko; two grandsons, Robert C. and Brandon M. Siemasko, all of Indianapolis, IN; and a mother-in-law, Jennie Stambaugh of York.
