John W. Scully

WILKES-BARRE- John W. "Bill" Scully, 75, of Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 in the Veterans Administration, Plains Township. Born December 15, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Edith (Jenkins) Scully and attended Plymouth Schools. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Prior to retiring in 1994, he was employed by Penn Refrigeration. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Siskavitch and Barbara Belcher. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, the former Roberta Dietz; children, William (Amy) Scully and Joan (Michael) Hamm; grandchildren, Ryan and Gregory Horn and Bill Scully; great-granddaughter, Graylyn; siblings Tom Scully, Kathryn Weidow, and Irene "Babe" Moskal; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Albert Cemetery, Nuangola. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main St. Wilkes-Barre.
