RED LION - James C. "Jim" Horn died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009 at York Hospital. He was 59. He was born October 16, 1949 in Columbia Hospital, Lancaster County son of Velma M. (Kraft) Arvin of Windsor Twp. and the late Ben C. Horn. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place Red Lion with the Rev. R. Howard Edmondson officiating. Burial will be in Freysville Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A reception celebrating Jim's life will be held immediately following the services. At Jim's request, wear your best - or worst - jeans. Jim worked as a material handler at Harley Davidson for nine years. He was previously employed by Fleming, Inc., formerly PA & S Small Co. He served four years in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy during the Vietnam War. He was a 1967 graduate of Red Lion Area High School; was a member of the Pennsylvania Paint Horse Club, the American Paint Horse Association; and the American Quarter Horse Association. In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by two brothers, Jon C. Arvin and wife, Linda of Red Lion and Ben Horn and wife Deborah of Dallastown; two sisters, Janina M. Strasbaugh and Janda K. Wright, both of Red Lion; one nephew and six nieces.
