FELTON- Helen M. (Elfner) Burke, 94 of Felton, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lloyd E. Burke, who died in 1973. A Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Bethlehem Stonepile United Methodist Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Rd. in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Her pastor, The Reverend Thomas R. Osenbach will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery at the church. Mrs. Burke was born in Brogue on September 12, 1915, a daughter of the late Paul and Alice Sarah (Craley) Elfner. Mrs. Burke was a member of Bethlehem Stonepile United Methodist Church for 75 years. She was a member of United Methodist Women, Sunday school, and a nursery attendant for many years. Mrs. Burke leaves two sons, Reynold L. Burke and his wife Ruth Ann of Felton and Dean C. Burke and his wife Nona of Youngsville, NC; a daughter, Patsy A. Burke of Felton; five grandchildren, Debbie, Roxann, Dan, Tony, and Wade; three great grandchildren, Rachel, Mason, and Sarah; and a brother, Dale Elfner of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by a son, Ned L. Burke; a grandson, Randy Burke; two brothers, Freman Elfner and Earl Elfner; and two sisters, Carrie Reichard and Gladys Craley.
