Gary D. Krieger

YORK—Gary D. Krieger, 51, died on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at his residence following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the husband of Dorothy J. (Schlaline) Krieger. The couple planned to celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary on June 22. A funeral mass will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., York, PA 17403 with Fr. Stephen Fernandes and Deacon Neil Crispo officiating. A viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born on August 1, 1966 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, he was the son of Donald Krieger and the late Lynn (Craig) Krieger. Gary was a Technician for the former Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, now Exelon, for 29 years. Mr. Krieger was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in York. Gary was a devoted husband and father and loved his family dearly. In his spare time, he loved to hunt and fish. Along with his wife, Dorothy, Gary is survived by one son, Jason Krieger; two daughters, Lynn and Leah Krieger, all of home; one brother, Donald J. Krieger and wife, Lynn of New Bloomfield; and one sister, Karen Felix and husband, Ryan of Palmyra. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Ruth Krieger.
